3 Strategies to Improve Productivity When You Work At Home
If you are working for someone else to earn your paycheck, there are built in systems to see that you stay on track. Quarterly or yearly reviews are standard. And when you go to work in an office somewhere other than your own home office, usually you are surrounded by people who are watching what you do, or are at least aware of what you accomplish by the day’s end. Not so when you work at home. When you are your own boss, too many times bad habits can creep in and create a much longer work day and the result is you are sabotaging your creativity and productivity.
What are these habits and how can you correct them?
1.Addictive Internet behavior. Do you really need to have Continue reading »

There’s no getting around it – email is here to stay! As wonderful, handy and useful as it is, email can absolutely sabotage productivity unless you pro actively have a plan to avoid this. We now get a crazy amount of email coming from all directions – some wanted, and most probably not. The problem is that all those messages come flying in our In Box all mixed up, leaving us to do the sorting. We dare not miss anything important, but it’s a daunting task to wade through the sheer volume of emails that now arrive in every business owner’s In Box.
First of all, this may sound like a time management issue. But upon closer observation, I believe it to be an information management issue. There have been studies done by focus groups that report Continue reading »

Each of us has unused potential. No matter who we are or what we have created and accomplished, we have more that we are capable of. If you are not doing new and uncomfortable things regularly then you are not moving forward. It is not always easy to move forward every day or else everybody would be doing it. What does it take to enjoy the victory of living each day to our full potential?
We all have great potential and moving forward by doing whatever it takes is a big part of expressing that. When is the last time you made a 100% commitment to the accomplishment of a goal.? When is the last time you remember being determined to do whatever it would take to succeed with a project? It is that commitment that will Continue reading »

The results are in and the ride has been well worth it! I am excited to share with you all the details. Earlier this year I entered Armand Morin’s contest called ‘Better Your Best’, it is a contest open to gold and platinum members of AM2 (a special coaching group I belong to for Internet marketing). The contest is about sharing where you are and what you have accomplished over the course of a year that has made your business new and improved. There are 2 categories to enter under.. either improve financially or improve by systematizing your business. I choose to grow my business financially. This seemed like a no-brainer because I had been making $0 each month online and could only improve!
The big prize was $25,000. There were 7 of us who made the finals. Each of us a star in our own right and each of us proud to have made it to the final cut. The final decision came down to Continue reading »

Success is on my mind! It has been for as long as I can remember and it has always been something that I desired and set goals to achieve. I am no longer that person who puts the idea of success out there to hope for some day. I am a person who takes action and each day I accomplish new levels of success. I have crossed the line from thinking about it and hoping for it and knowing in my heart that I deserve it… to really getting up and doing something about it!
I am thinking about what it was that really helped me to cross that line. I was starting to think that “it is now or never”. I have wanted greatness for myself and never seemed to really go out on a limb to get it. At the time, I thought I was working hard and taking action, but I was mistaken. I was in a false state Continue reading »

It’s hard to believe, but we have the same amount of time in our day as the President of the United States, the Governor of our State, and the top achiever and producer of any Fortune 500 company. No matter who we are and what our job is, we have to accept that time given is a level playing field…we all start with the same 24 hours in a day and we end with the same 24 hours spent.
