Better Your Best Contest – My 2010 Story

November 11th, 2010

The results are in and the ride has been well worth it! I am excited to share with you all the details. Earlier this year I entered Armand Morin’s contest called ‘Better Your Best’, it is a contest open to gold and platinum members of AM2 (a special coaching group I belong to for Internet marketing). The contest is about sharing where you are and what you have accomplished over the course of a year that has made your business new and improved. There are 2 categories to enter under.. either improve financially or improve by systematizing your business. I choose to grow my business financially. This seemed like a no-brainer because I had been making $0 each month online and could only improve!

The big prize was $25,000. There were 7 of us who made the finals. Each of us a star in our own right and each of us proud to have made it to the final cut. The final decision came down to Continue reading »

Are You A Victim Of Information Overload? By George Arthur Burk

September 24th, 2010

I am happy to introduce you to a fellow Internet marketer who is doing great things with membership sites. George and I are in several class’s together and he is very helpful with his ideas and resources. It is a real honor to share this guest post here!  George writes a great blog about online membership sites.

Information overload is a popular topic because it seems to be a problem for small business owners and entrepreneurs no matter what niche you are serving. I am a relatively newcomer to the online business world and I suffered from what I perceived as information overload. Perceived information overload? That is a peculiar phase isn’t it? I believe that we all can be victims of perceived information overload. I came to that conclusion after thinking very carefully about what I learned from Connie Regan Green,  Armand Morin and Helen of course.

Those of us who are familiar with Connie Regan Green have heard her story of how she got started on the Internet many times. As we all know Connie got her start with affiliate marketing. She watched how others conducted their business and was able to formulate a business plan of her own. As we all know, Continue reading »

Accountability By Means Of A Fish Bowl!

August 29th, 2010

As you may or may not know, I am a 10k coaching client with a brilliant mentor, Connie Ragen Green. I have been doing really great and making outstanding progress and I had an idea I wanted to pass along to you.

I have been playing a bigger game and taking the responsibility of accountability to heart. Connie’s coaching method has put me in a fish bowl for the world to look in a see. It is one heck of an idea!!

My thought is that if you are determined to raise the bar on what you expect of yourself and are willing to get out of your comfort zone then you could put yourself in a ‘self-imposed’ fish bowl.

You could start today, share what your goals are for the rest of the year. Send out e-mails to everyone you know, blog about it, tweet about it, announce it on facebook, let the world know what your intentions are.

Commit to your goals as loud as possible and keep updating your status as you go. If you seriously throw yourself in the bowl, I promise you will surprise yourself with how much bigger you are willing to play.

If you’d rather have a fish then be a fish, then I am happy to volunteer to let you just watch me swim around with great passion and persistence! You can still get access to all our coaching audios and video recordings that Connie has been saving in a very organized members area. Many people are following along at their own pace with the great ideas and advice that Connie is sharing with me.

Access to this complete members area is only $97, a one time fee to listen to all the recordings as often as you like. If you have been stuck and unable to get yourself to take action then I think you will really enjoy and find value is the lessons that have been recorded. http://10kLaserCoaching.com

Week 11 As A 10k Coaching Client

August 5th, 2010

I’d like to do a quick recap of the 10k coaching I have been in. I am so amazed at how far I have come and what I have accomplished. Having a mentor and a role model, especially one like Connie Ragen Green has been absolutely priceless! I can hardly believe how far I have come in the last 4 months. I truly feel like a new and different person. A new and improved version of myself!

In the past 4 months I have become a more bold and confident person. I take action on my ideas and I keep moving forward no matter how scary the unknown stuff in front of me seems to be! I know that my progress has boiled down to a few key elements that anyone can emulate.

  • Have one solid focus and make it so important in your mind that no distractions could ever tear you away.
  • Do at least 4 tasks everyday that will bring you closer to your goal and do those things before anything else.
  • Have some skin in the game. Have something to lose that is important to you and keeps you moving forward… no matter what.
  • Set up as much accountability as possible for yourself. Tell your closest friends, talk about in on Twitter or Facebook, blog about it! The more the better
  • Find ways to keep your motivation and enthusiasm as high as possible. Surround yourself with positive energy and supportive people.

If you want something, really really want it then you can have it! No excuses, decide on it and make it happen. Take action every day and keep your eye on the end result. Every obstacle that pops up is a test of your character and a test of how serious you are about your commitment! Fight for what you want and never ever give up!! You can do it!!

All my coaching sessions with Connie are available as a webinar or audio. You can be a fly on the wall for a one time fee of $97. We have had 11 sessions so far and she is guiding me toward making $10,000 a month. I’m on target to be at 50% by the end of this month. WooHoo! Http://10kLaserCoaching.com

Make Money With Affiliate Marketing Now

July 3rd, 2010

Affiliate marketing is a buzz word that you may or may not be familiar with. Affiliate marketing is about sharing products and services that you think will benefit your target audience or your community. If they go ahead and purchase any of your recommendations then you receive a commission from the product developer. This is really referral marketing at its best. If you use a product or service and enjoy the benefits it it very natural to share that you loved it and why. If this is of interest to someone and they want to purchase it, then you receive a thank you bonus of anywhere from 15% to 75%. Most digital products are sharing 50% of the sale with the person who connected the new buyer with the seller.

This is a great way to add an additional source of income without doing much extra work other then sharing products and services you believe in. The most important thing to consider is Continue reading »

Week 10 As A 10k Coaching Client

June 29th, 2010

I have been feeling like I lost my groove and certainly didn’t like that feeling at all! I have been making such great progress and all of the sudden June became a plateau month. Worse then a plateau as far as progress is concerned, I have gone backwards. June’s income looks like about $800. A big nose dive from a few months at $4,000. I know exactly what has gone wrong too, I have been overly involved in a variety of projects and got sucked back into learning mode which took me away from moving forward!

My call with Connie this week was exactly what I needed to get back on track. I don’t think she knew Continue reading »

Week 9 As A 10k Coaching Client

June 8th, 2010

My time working with Connie is just outstanding! I was listening to some of our earlier calls and I can really tell that I have grown a lot since beginning our work together earlier this year. I am amazed and how much I have been able to accomplish and how much my income has increased! I am 40% of the way there and it has been just 4 months! I predict that June, July and August will offer some major breakthroughs for me.

I did hit a bit of a snag, as Connie called it, and I lost a few monthly clients. My income was the same in May as it was in April. The good news is that it stayed the same and did not go down, so I must be doing something right. Everything happens for a reason and I am excited for the time that I will be gaining to work on some bigger projects for myself. I love working to help others get an online presence and it is very rewarding, but at the same time it is limiting because I am trading hours for dollars.

I plan to use the extra time that I have gained to set up some systems that will continuously add income to my account, even while I sleep, or I am out of town, or sick and down for a short count. This is very exciting. Today Connie and I talked about affiliate marketing and setting up my own opt-in pages. I have been given the challenge of having two opt-in pages, complete with free irresistible offers, by the end of June. Connie really gave me to the first week in July, but I moved the deadline up because I won’t see results until the pages go live.

We also talked about how to juggle and take care of multiple communities/lists. I have 2 now and wanted to make sure I was remembering everything and taking care of everyone equally. Then Connie shared that she has 65 auto responder sequences and communities to juggle… I am still blown away by this! I guess I need not feel overwhelmed at all by 2 lists.. wow!! It is just amazing what Connie does everyday to grow her business and make money, and…… makes it look so easy and practically effortless! I can’t wait to get there with my own business!! ( And ,I know I will!!)

So the goal now is to add at least 1, but better to add 2 opt-in pages to my online empire each month. I love the challenge and I know I am up for it. If you’d like to be a fly on the wall and listen in on the calls that Connie has with me then you can check out all the details at http://10kLaserCoaching.com

Blog Challenge – What Is Good For Business Is Good For Me!

June 1st, 2010

Today is day 1 of a new blog challenge with our new Grand Poo Bah, Jeanette Cates. 30 posts in 30 days and everyone is invited! If you think a challenge like this could really kick start your blog or even add a jolt of new energy to an existing blog then you would be absolutely right! Oh and the success you will see in your business!

Connie Ragen Green started this 30 day challenge almost 2 years ago and has a greater turnout each time it has been hosted. I entered my first challenge this past December / January to start this year off right and put a blog live that I had only been talking about. I had heard how important blogging was and I had even learned how to set one up in a few different classes, so this was the perfect opportunity to start my own blog and get in the habit of posting regularly.

This past month April / May I did my second challenge and it was one of the best things I could have done for my business. I made some amazing friendships and learned a great amount about the different blogging styles. I have really seen how my blogging voice and writing style had changed since the start of the new year.

With only 2 weeks off since the end of the last challenge, here I am again committing to 30 posts in 30 days. I realize my writing can only improve and get better and I may attract a few more readers. I also love the accountability I have signed up for by entering such a challenge! I have every intention of crossing the finish line on June 30th.

There  is still time to join us! Visit http://jeanettecates.com/30days/ for more details.

Week 7 As A 10k Coaching Client

May 13th, 2010

I really missed my coach, Connie, and could not wait to talk with her today! I have been feeling out of balance and I was not sure if what I was going through was to be expected or was just me. I have always thought of myself as a balanced person and in control of what was happening in my environment but lately that has been far from true.

For example, I was just on a holiday break an unable to fully let go and be present. I had gotten myself into a mess by over committing and taking on responsibilities that I knew were unrealistic. This, as Connie pointed out, is a sign of self sabotage.

Here are some other signs that I have been very out of balance: I have gained about 12 pounds in the past 6 weeks because my business has been my top priority and I have been skipping my trips to the gym so that I don’t have to stop working. I have been working well into the night and not Continue reading »

The Generosity Of Others

April 27th, 2010

Every now and then someone does something extraordinary that deeply touches you. Something unexpected and magical! Something that is almost too good to be true! I have been a recipient of such generosity! It is hard to find words eloquent and charming enough to express my deepest and heartfelt gratitude to Connie Ragen Green!

I am changing, I am forever changed! Someone believes in me, someone who isn’t related to me and not just anybody but a major thought leader in the world of Internet Marketing. Connie has taken the time to share that she believes in me and has taken out very valuable time to stop and support my business growth and encourage my success. It is so amazing how much I have stepped up to play bigger and be more brave with the actions I take, so that I can prove her right for believing in me! She has shared that she is proud of me and all I can think to do to show my appreciation is to work even harder to earn that respect and give her a reason to continue believing in me!!

People all around you have goals and ideas that they’re not working on and could use some positive words of support and encouragement. See people as what they are capable of and you have given the greatest gift. Believe in people more then they believe in themselves and be an example of taking action and moving forward. If you have ever been on the receiving end of such encouragement then you know how it can move you to play bigger and accomplish more then you ever would have without that support and encouragement.

This is completely a ‘givers-gain’ philosophy. It will not only make you feel great but you’ll find that you receive what you put out 10 fold! We have an innate need to help others and share our ideas and resources. In fact Zig Ziglar explains it perfectly, “If you help enough other people to get what they want, you will get what you want as well”.

This is an ode to my mommy bird, thank you Connie, thank you from the very bottom of my heart!!

In honor on Connie Ragen Green, find someone who could use some encouragement and give it to them. Believe in them unconditionally and do what you can to support their success? Thank you!

Week 6 As A 10k Coaching Client

April 26th, 2010

Boy oh boy, has it been exciting working with the great mind of Connie Green. She has done wonders with me and the progress I continue to make just thrills me to death!! Today I was blessed with the coolest surprise ever! Connie took my sales letter notes and created a real live sales letter for my new course that I’ll be launching later this week. It was beautiful and took me by great surprise! She is 3 hours behind me in the zone and created this for me while I was fast a sleep! (Really cool!)

Here are the tasks that Connie has asked me to do in order to keep moving forward:

  • Change my Twitter bio and change the link I am promoting (Connie thinks it is a good idea to do this every now and then, maybe once every 3 months or so)
  • Create a paypal button for my new class
  • Change the bullets on my sales page (I have too many) from 7, 7 & 9 to 5, 5 & 5!
  • Get my Wish List member key so my class can become a membership site for home study later
  • Create a closing paragraph for my sales letter (currently Connie’s words)
  • Find some photos for my testimonials
  • Share more personal details on Twitter to share who I am when I am not working (not working isn’t something I am too familiar with now that Connie is my coach, heehee!)
  • Learn how to use Twitpic.com to upload some photos are share with my followers.
  • Keep working on getting my Twitter followers to 2000 this is a huge key in moving forward
  • Continue educating myself about squidoo and continue adding a few pages each week

Working with Connie has really been exciting and has helped me to step out of my comfort zone and do what needs to be done. I am on target to make $4000 this month!! That is so amazing!! I didn’t know how it was going to happen, but it did!! And the best part is I am just getting started!! I can say, or shout from the roof really, that I have doubled my income every month since making any money online!! WooHoo and Yipee!!! I am so proud of myself and I owe a world of gratitude to Connie Ragen Green for believing in me and holding my hand as I unleash my potential!!

Stay tuned as I continue to share my results and story with you! http://10kLaserCoaching.com

Week 5 As A 10k Coaching Client

April 19th, 2010

My session with Connie Ragen Green was extraordinary today! (What??? You haven’t heard of her? If that is truly the case then visit http://budurl.com/ConnieRG). Connie is everywhere online and it making things happen! She represents the success I’d like to accomplish for myself. She is a brilliant business mind and model in many ways!

Today I had the opportunity to ask her how she did it ALL. How she was averaging 3-5 articles a week, at least 2 blog posts a week on 2 different blogs, answering all her e-mails personally, being a social butterfly and cheerleader on twitter, doing at least 3 telecalls a week and creating great content that she can sell and make her money from…. that is a lot and not even everything she is doing!! Wow, right?

Connie shared her secret and it is a good one! She preceded to share with me Continue reading »

Week 4 As A 10k Coaching Client

April 12th, 2010

Life in the 10k coaching lane is moving along very nicely!! If you have been following along then you know that I started this journey with Connie Ragen Green in early March and have already more then doubled my monthly income! I plan to do it again this month and of course that will be a much bigger challenge, but boy am I up for it! We had our 4th coaching call this afternoon and I picked up some great ideas and pointers from Connie.

Here are some of my action steps for this next week:

* Write a post about building relationships and talk about the tweet meme button.

* Save my first teleseminar recording in both MP3 and a wave file, in is only live for 30 days.

* Work on my 4 part course and have done and ready to launch by the end of April, class date to be set to start the second week in May

* Use the more

Blog Challenge – Day 1 of 30

April 10th, 2010

I am excited to be committing to another 30 day blogging challenge which starts today. It is hosted by the famous Connie Ragen Green. I am a big fan of this blog challenge because participating in this challenge just over 4 months ago launched this very blog. That is pivotal to me because I had talked about and wanted a blog for months and months and didn’t think I was ready.

After you write 30 blog posts in 30 days you find your voice and you start to believe you may actually have something of interest to share with people. Also, after 30 blog posts how could you possibly not keep it going?? I mean after all that work and the momentum that has built it becomes something you want to continue growing. You become a blogger!

Do you have a blog? If you do please share it here in the comments for others to check out. If you do not have a blog, would you like to have one? The simple basics are to write something every day for 30 days and build small victories. The personal touches can come later. If you want to have a blog or even re-launch your current blog then this challenge will help you take the action that until now you have only been talking about.

Here is the link to Connie’s post that talks more about the challenge http://budurl.com/blog30 . Read it and post to the comments that you’d like ‘in’. You’ll be happy you did and you’ll meet some wonderful and inspiring new people along the way.

Week 3 As A 10k Coaching Client

April 5th, 2010

I am really having a great time with this 10k Coaching project with Connie Ragen Green as my brilliant mentor! My motivation has increased far more then I knew it could!! I am just feeling so lucky and so inspired!! It is really  incredible how many cheerleaders I have and how they support and keep me moving forward. They share that they believe in me and love watching my progress. They encourage me so much that sometimes I can’t sleep because I am so excited and have so many ideas!!! Yipee!!

This week Connie has a shorter list for me of things to focus on. Which is good because there are a few bigger projects from the past few weeks that I have not finished. Like my 15 page report and my new opt-in video, oh and I need to have a 4 part course done and ready to promote by the end of this month. Each lesson will be 60-90 minutes!

* We talked about her 5 prong approach to building an online empire, Blogging, Article Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Affiliate Marketing & Teleseminars. (I have been moving forward nicely will all but Teleseminars, can you guess what is next for me?)

* Commit to doing a weekly teleseminar

* Update my profile on LinkedIn

* Sign up at ping.fm (whatever that is??)

* Work on a product of my own, current project is a 4 part course to be launched in Early May

* Get creative on surprising my community (list) with gifts! This could be interviews, audio replays, reports, downloads, or valuable resources. ( I love this idea and Connie does it so well!)

* Visit listandtrafficprofits.com and take a look at what Jimmy D. Brown is doing with his re-brandable reports. This can be a great resource for the action above which is to have gifts for my community.

* Write a special report that takes about 10 of my favorite 223 action habits and share how they can take action on each of those 10 in the next 10 days.

* Continue aiming to submit 5 articles a week, promote my affiliate links 2-3 times a day, work on my own product, finish my free report, continue building my twitter followers to 2000 (getting closer!), start promoting my new facebook fan page (HelenRappy), and continue adding 5+ connections on Linked in at least 3 times a week.

I saved the best news for last….. I more then doubled my income from February to March!!! More then doubled!!! I am so super excited!!! Yea!! Of course I want to announce (and be held accountable) that I want to do that again in April!! If you are not following along at home with all of our recorded calls and webinars then you can go and sign up now at http://10kLaserCoaching.com You can be a fly on the wall and hear exactly what Connie is suggesting for me to do.
