Business Success Tips – Keep Taking Action!

June 8th, 2011

June marks the half way point of the year. This is a great month to step back and take a look at the bigger picture and get clear that you are on track and making the progress you need to in order to end the year as you envisioned back on January 1rst. What are your goals and what is it that you most want to accomplish? This is an important ritual for any entrepreneur who has their sights set on success. Take this month to step back and take a serious look at where you are and where you want to be.

By the end of the month you need to Continue reading »

Accelerate Your Business – Focus On Today

June 3rd, 2011

What would it take to accelerate your business in the next 30 days? Read that question again and really think about the answer. List as many ideas and resources that you can think of. If your life depended on it (or the life of someone you care deeply about), what are you capable of pulling off in a 30 day period of time that will absolutely transform your business and take you to a whole new level. Can you imagine what that would look like? If you could have that kind of breakthrough, how would that make you feel?

Here are a few ideas that came to mind when I think about Continue reading »

What To Do When You’re Not Doing What You Need To Do!

May 18th, 2011

Do you have something you really want to accomplish, but you wake up and start your day by doing something completely unrelated? Do you wake up and instead open your email or you log into your favorite social media account, why? Is you mind going 100 miles a minutes with all the things that you could be doing, and most of them are not associated with your next deadline? Why is it that you have a big goal in front of you and yet find yourself avoiding it?

Avoiding what we know we need to do is something that every person who is human experiences. That is the good news, you are not alone! It has been called self-sabotage, avoidance , fear and many other things. I think that those are valid observations, but I also think Continue reading »

Spring Forward in May – 3 Ideas For Action

May 10th, 2011

I was thinking about what information would help you most to set May up as your most successful month this year. I have set that intention for myself and here is the simple outline that I have created for myself that I feel will help you as well.

1. Get tuned into the basics. What have you done consistently to get where you are today? Have you kept it up with the same passion and excitement or have you let that habit dwindle down? Choose a few basic habits that worked well whenyou were working them and put them back in your schedule.

2. Set a big ‘results’ goal and put your focus on achieving that goal every single working day for at least 60 minutes. Get others involved as much as possible. Declare what you will Continue reading »

Making The Right Choices – Discipline For Success

April 13th, 2011

We often go into business for ourselves so we can have more freedom, flexibility and because there is no glass ceiling for the income we can bring in. The sky is the limit for what we can create and it is very easy to get excited about what is possible. Yet the idea of thinking big, is enough for most people. This must be true or more people would be taking action to create the business and the life that they dream about. The business and the life they talk about.

I was that person for most of my life and I am not pointing any fingers, because I know from looking back at my own experience that I didn’t even know I was in my own way. Success stories are Continue reading »

Momentum Online – How To Get From Idea To Action

April 11th, 2011

Momentum is a big part of moving our businesses forward. Any worthwhile project seems to need countless hours and a great amount of effort at the beginning. What makes it even harder is that you often don’t see any real rewards or results at the start of the project. You have an idea of what you would like to accomplish, but the path is not clearly lit. How do you move forward without knowing exactly how it will turn out? You have to put forth a great deal of trust in your own ability to see this idea through to fruition and you have to commit to sticking with it through the slow start.

As your momentum increases (and it will) you will find yourself Continue reading »

Business Success – Full Steam Ahead

March 22nd, 2011

Full Steam Ahead.. it has a nice ring to it don’t you think? An expression from back in the day of the steam engine trains. It meant that the train was fully powered up and ready to go at full speed ahead. I was thinking about how that could apply to us in our businesses. Are we in a state of mind where we feel we are powered up or do we feel like we are lacking energy. On any given day we can feel either of these options, but what do we need to do if powered up and full steam ahead is our preference?

It starts with a vision. A vision so clear that we can easily describe what it is to others. What do you want to create and Continue reading »

How To Stay Inspired – Getting Motivated

March 19th, 2011

We all want to wake up each day feeling fully motivated and inspired to do amazing things.  It works out that way sometimes, but we can’t count on it every day.  No one stays on the “mountain top” all the time; if we did, we’d feel drained emotionally.  I think what we really desire is to find a way to stay inspired and motivated on a consistent basis.  There are some actions we can take to insure a steady sense of fulfillment and forward motion.  It might be easier than you think.

First of all, take responsibility for yourself.  When we were Continue reading »

Keeping Your Customers – Acts Of Appreciation

March 14th, 2011

I had just landed a new customer and immediately this line from “Pretty Women” roared loudly in my head, “Baby I am gonna treat you SO good, you’re never gonna let me go!” Never mind that he said , “$500, one week, and Vivian I will let you go!” I have had that line in my head for a week now and it has become my affirmation chant each time I get a new customer. I am on a mission to treat my customers so good that they will be customers for a very very long time!

I wonder what that looks like exactly? I had the idea, but I didn’t say I had the answer. Here is what I have come up with so far:

1.Thank them in as many ways as possible. Facebook message, email, Twitter and even a personal note in the mail. I want them Continue reading »

Move Your Business Forward – Stop And Get Clear Why

March 12th, 2011

What will it take for you to make a commitment to yourself that you will take action each and every day toward accomplishing your goals and moving your business forward? We all know how important it is yet we don’t all implement that knowledge. How badly do you want to create business success for yourself? What exactly does that look like and are you truly willing to do whatever it takes?

No, it is not always easy. You get the strength and resolve to take action regardless because you Continue reading »

Your Business Success – 2 Choices

March 9th, 2011

I want to talk about success. I want to talk about how many of us want a better lifestyle and want to reach the next big milestone. I think everyone wants something that they can get really excited about. It is always easy to start the process, to set the goal and to make a promise to ourselves that we will go for it and see what happens. Once the goal is there it is as simple as putting one foot in front of the other, or is it?

Why do we get in our own way? What stops us from moving forward? There are any number of things that jump out on our path that try to distract us and throw us off track. At these moments we have 2 choices and those are to Continue reading »

Goal Setting – Set Yourself Up To Win

March 2nd, 2011

Many of us have full lives that include wearing several different hats. We don’t only have our business to contend with, but much more. When we are building a business along side of having a ‘job’ and spending quality time with our families it can be hard to fit in everything that we need to do to move our business forward. It is great to be ambitious and certainly a necessary quality, but it is more important to set yourself up to win. It is even more important to build the momentum you need to sustain yourself for the long haul.

Your vision is what you what to accomplish and where you want to go. Your goals are Continue reading »

What Matters Most – Stop Being a Busy Bee

February 9th, 2011

Ever notice how each day can bring more to do, especially when you love information and have a rush of new ideas almost all the time. It is easier and easier to grow busy and lose track of yourself and the things that are most important. Have you been a busy bee? It seems to be going around lately and it is easy to catch! I happen to know a few remedies.

1. You have to make tough choices. Be clear on what’s important to you and hold on to that priority no matter what tries to steal your attention. There are a great number of Continue reading »

Taking Action – Words Of Encouragement

January 17th, 2011

We all want to be successful and we each have our own definition of what that means.  I can imagine that most of us even know the steps to take to move toward that result.  Some of these things include setting goals, productivity priorities, having a life vision, time management skills, personal discipline…and the list goes one.  Discussion on any one of these values could fill a book, and they’re all important.

But I want to take a minute Continue reading »

Business Vision – Thinking Big

January 12th, 2011

Our success is a work in progress and the definition changes and grows as we do. From where you stand right now what is the grandest vision that you can imagine for your future? What does it really look like and what are all the details that make up that vision? This is the fun part, allow yourself to really think big. Don’t worry that you will disappoint yourself, don’t judge if it is possible, just take a few minutes to ponder and ask yourself, “what do I really really want, what would be absolutely amazing to have?”

Think with a pad of paper and jot down all your ideas, look over the ideas and Continue reading »
